Title: 3D Designer
Classification: Full-Time
Target Work Week: 40-45 hours
Department: Engineering
Reports to: Engineering Co-ordinator
Direct Reports: Nil
Location: Perth, WA
Salary Range: Negotiable

Our Company
We are building a multidisciplinary engineering company to deliver hydrometallurgical and mineral processing projects under $500M in the resources sector. We are committed to efficiency. This means efficient use of our time, our clients’ assets and the world’s resources.

The Position
The role of 3D designer has three primary components consisting of (1) Delivery and Execution; (2) Mission and Systems and (3) Culture and Team.  Success in this role will be measured against performance in the following areas:

Delivery and Execution

  • Completion of design deliverables on budget and on schedule
    Contribution to saleable product ideas

Mission and Systems

  • Proactively contribute to the development of the best systems in the business
  • Provide repeatable outcomes by using thorough design practices
  • Think laterally to find a better way to do things

Culture and Team

  • Be a positive team contributor
  • Be an active communicator
  • Maintain positive and favourable relationships with our clients and suppliers
  • Participate in training and personal development

Qualifications
An ideal candidate has the following:

  • Strong competencies in intellect (ability to learn, understand and innovate)
  • Personal skills (integrity, candor, excellence etc)
  • High level of proficiency in both oral and written communication
  • at least five years of successful 3D design experience in a multidisciplinary engineering environment
  • Experience working with Pro/ENGINEER
  • Proven ability to multitask and follow through
  • Proven ability to work alone and within a team
  • Ability to see the big picture, whilst maintain an attention to detail
  • Capacity to participate and contribute to the achievement of the long term goals of the business
  • Commitment to participate and contribute to the achievement of the long term goals of the business
